Debbie Macomber, the author, is heading a charity project that benefits children in need by providing them with hand-crafted items through 3 groups: Newborns in Need, Project Linus, and Binky Patrol.

Debbie also has a book, A Charity Guide for Knitters, which I purchased recently. It has information about a few of these charities and some easy patterns to use. I have done the scarf and cap patterns so far for some charity knitting I'm doing.
