Lost my place in the pattern, somehow got my stitches backwards
I'm working on a multi-panel afghan right now with a simple chevron pattern.

Row 1: (K2, P2) twice; K1, (P2, K2) twice.
Row 2: P1, K2, P2, K2, P3, K2, P2, K2, P1.
Row 3: K1, P1, K2, P2, K5, P2, K2, P1, K1.
Row 4: P3, K2, P2, K1, P1, K1, P2, K2, P3.

I had knitted 99 rows when I noticed a change in the way the chevron was coming out - that is to say, it wasn't. Everything up to row 96 is good and looks how it should. But I did a row 2 instead of a row 1 on row 97, and did not realize it. I continued on to row 99 and noticed the pattern was not working there. I counted my tally sheet just to make sure I was at the right place and then took out 3 rows to get myself back to row 96 so I could do the row 1 that I had missed. Except when I went to knit the row 1, I couldn't do it! Somehow all my stitches have ended up on the needle backwards and I can not knit through the front of the stitch as I have been up until this point.

Could someone help me get this sorted out and back on the right track? Any help would be much appreciated!

Knit through the backloop of the twisted stitches. Or insert the right needle from left to right into stitch, lift it off the left needle so that it is twisted around and place it back on the left needle, then knit it.

There are videos on this site that show how to knit through the backloop.
