I understand how to knit with two yarns if I'm going to be using both colors on a row, but what if I only will be knitting with one color on a row and will need the second color for the next row -- how do I carry it across?
I watched the stranded knitting video but it didn't address knitting with just one color at a time and needing the other color at the other end for the next row.
The pattern says this:
Notes: Carry unused yarn loosely along edge; do not cut yarn at end of each color. When slipping stitches, slip as if to purl.
With color B, cast on 216 stitches very loosely.
Row 1 (right side): Drop color B. Join color A and knit 1, *with yarn in back slip 1 as if to purl, knit 2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, with yarn in back slip 1 as if to purl, knit 1.
Row 2: With color A, purl.
