Yarn over decrase help!

I am just knitting a goofy afgan to where I start each row with a k1, yo, knit to end. I am now going to go the other way and I don't know which decrease to do. Is is k2tog or ssk? I never can tell which way I want to slant. lol

On the beginning of the round, I'd do a k2tog, if you're decreasing on the end of the row a ssk.

I think that is the way the decreases are found in most lace patterns...

You can do both. If this is the one that just has a YO and the decs at the beg of every row, then do k2tog, YO, ssk and that should work.
