Casting on
I'm knitting the Meander Mitts in the Fall 2009 Vogue magazine. After slipping the thumb stitches off the needles and placing on scrap yarn, the pattern calls for casting on two stitches. How do you cast on in the midst of a project??

You can use either the backward loop or cable cast on for mid knitting stitches. There might be another one, but I can't think of it offhand.
