Welcome to Knitting Help!

We need a lot more information to help you. Do you have a link to the pattern? That always helps when asking questions. What exactly do you mean? Do you want to use a lighter weight yarn than is called for in the pattern?

When asking questions ALWAYS post the name and a link for the pattern if you have it.

You can generally used a smaller needle to go with the thinner yarn and knit a larger size of the pattern. Figure how many sts/inch you get, then multiply that by the finished measurement. If there's a size that has close to that number of sts for the front and back, you can probably follow those instructions, adjusting the length.

Knowing which one it it though, helps up be a little more specific.
