yarn interchange
I have a pattern calls for bulky yarn. I would like to do this pattern in regular 8 ply yarn. How many more stitches should I cast on?

The pattern calls for 38 sts. on # 15 needle.

Thank you

We can't really help without more information. What is it you're making? If you have a link to the pattern and a name it would help a lot.

You need to find out how many sts per inch you get with the 8 ply on whatever needle you use for it. Then how many sts will get you the same measurement for the item you want to make. If it's a scarf or hat, maybe twice as many sts, but it can get more involved.
