Need help after a long tail cast-on

Hi,
So I'm working on a new pattern that called for a long tail cast-on which I've never done before. My patter calls for K1. *P1. K1.... my question is how do i start that row with 2 strands? Any help would be great-full.

If you do one row of knitting before starting your K1 P1...pattern it will easier. You can start the k1 p1 but it's more difficult. Good luck!

If you're to work double stranded, just hold the 2 ends together and work them as if they were one. Cast on in longtail the same, you don't need to knit a row before you start the k1, p1, just do that for the first row.
