DPN help please

This is my first attempt at knitting socks. I have, however used dpn's before. My question...I realized I am knitting from the inside of the three needles. Is this going to matter? I am only an inch into the project as I looked down and realized that this may not be correct.
Advice and suggestions would be appreciated!

You mean the right side of your knitting is on the inside? In some cases (like hats) you can continue to knit and then just turn your work inside out and you would be fine. But I don't think you'll be able to do that once you start shaping your heels. Since you are only about an inch in, I'd take it out and start over.

I think before I ripped it out I would try just turning it the right way and continuing on. If it looks fine, it worked and you can just knit on. If it looks weird you could start over.

Well, here is what I decided to do...I flipped the work turning the inside to the outside to go a couple of rounds to see if there would be a difference. There wasn't!! Hooray for not having to start over! Since this is my first sock ever, I guess I'll have to see how it goes for my next sock(the match to this one). Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

CivicSista, I've finished the gusset part of the sock which was a little tricky and I had to refer to a utube video to get what the heck i needed to do. Almost to the toe...Let me know how far you are, mine is actually really great, pleasantly surprised! My husband already put in an order for a wool pair for our snow trips and cold weather camping we occasionally do. One pair at a time!(I think I may have started something!) What part of the country are you in?

I started mine yesterday and I have less then 2 inches. I need to pick it up again and work on it. Guess I am a slow knitter..... but those needles are so small, and sometimes I feel like I am going to poke my eye out.

I am up in MN, in Minneapolis. What about you?

CivicSista, I'm in California. I know what you mean about going slow. Small kneedles, thin yarn. But I have to say that once you get past the heel and you can see that it is actually going to be something,it's worth it. I'm anxious about how to figure my sizing though. The pattern is for a size 8 and i'm a 6. It does say to stop the sock 2 inches before you finish for the toe. We'll see! Keep me posted on your sock.
