I just picked up the latest issue of Interweave Crochet magazine and fell in love with the look and idea of Tunisian crochet. It is a lot like crochet with the same type of hook, but the result looks more like knitting. I picked up a set of tunisian hooks (same as regular crochet needles but with a bumper at end to hold all the stitches) but now i am having a hard time finding tunisian patterns. Any one else into tunisian crochet and any idea where i can find a good source of patterns?
i did the Google search..i got a few usable sites, but mostly blogs. the sites advertising patterns either it was limited or they encouraged buying their book. i just wondered if anyone here had a favorite site for this type of crochet..
I belong to a tunisian crochet group on Yahoo, it's free, and you can get a daily email from members with Q&A's. Sometimes it's helpful. I too have had problems finding good tunisian patterns, even with the group. I need free patterns, since I just lost my husband and am trying to watch my money now. Good Luck!
thanks for the site and the Yahoo group suggestion. I am still waiting for the needles to be delivered but am eager to get practicing the new stitches and techniques.
If I find any free patterns for tunisian crochet, i will add it here as well
Are you familiar with Ravelry? An online knitting/crochet community. You can register to join...it's free...there are lots of free tunisian patterns there!
Hope this helps!
