Change from knit to purl

I have just picked up an old project. I am knitting in the round and where I have just picked up again I am knitting, but it looks like purling. The rest of the project looks knitted. Anybody have any ideas on what I have done here?

You picked it up with the wrong side facing and are knitting the wrong direction probably. Go back to where you started, make sure the knits are on the outside of it and your needles are closer to you, not pointing away from you. The working yarn is supposed to be on the right needle.
