You have a sweater all done, but you didn't say what pattern. A top-down? Aren't they usually a one piece thing?
I must confess, I dislike top-down construction. I knit 3 of them in 2008-2009. The SOMETHING RED cardigan. But top-down sweaters have their own issues.
I knit 3 of the SOMETHING RED
cardigans. Two turned out good, one of them turned out too big. The armpits are too long, or far down. You have to keep knitting the increases at the raglan areas...but by the time the increases were done...the sweater was already too long in that area. I didn't know it til I was done with it. Meh. It fits, but not very well. Not like the other two.
I'm used to conventional knitting. You know, the Back, the 2 Fronts, the 2 Sleeves, the collar, the buttonbands. And seaming.
You should post your questions in HOW TO. There isn't anything Suzeeq and Ingrid don't know about knitting sweaters! I'm sure they are masters of knitting top-down.
