Novice knitter with question about stockinette...

Good Morning! I am working on a scarf (just enough ruffles scarf, so cute) and I have a quick question about the pattern. It says to work 2 rows in stockinette stitch, does that mean k one row, p one row or do that combo twice? Thanks for any help!

It means to knit one row and then purl one row. If it meant for you to do 4 rows it would tell you to work the stockinette PATTERN twice.
