JanInCA, I am so sorry for your loss! Marshmellow (such a great name!) looked sooooo beautiful in your photo. 19! She obviously did not want to leave you! Very sad how short the lives are for our dearest furry friends - how precious time is.... We lost our scottie of 15 years just 2 months ago & are still grieving too. Better, but it takes time. Please know that you will find your way thru your grief. I read a few books from the library - one, 'Wet Noses at the Pearly Gates' helped me a little bit. Others helped too... Listen to your needs & what helps YOU. Just little things. Take care of yourself, too. Oh, and look for the love you gave her to come back to you... It will. Watch for it. We received a small plant from a very unlikely person in memory of our scottie...

I just noticed your post, I'm sorry about your kitty. She was beautiful. It's so hard to let go.

We still miss ours that we lost 2 and 4 yrs ago respectively...even though we have a new set of two!
