I am starting to think that I should take those 12 centre panel rows back and do what you were saying. I was doing some mild calculation, and I think I have enough yarn for 88 repeats around the edge, but by my calculations there are 90 repeats around the edge...
Does that sound right to you?
Anyway...it shouldnt be too much of a problem so long as I deal with it soon. I am done 16 border panel repeats. I have maybe another 8 repeats before the point of no return.
Finger is fine today, so long as it is not in any heated climates...like the shower! Or the oven...*sigh*...Thanks for the concern...yesterday it felt like it was going to sear off my hand...nasty things burns are!
I should be fine...I worked out what I had left from the last ball, and how much that should give me for each remaining ball, and I came up with 86 pattern repeats, if you are saying there should only be 86, I should be fine, which actually works with my original measurements of your 1029 yrds with my 1093 yrds...
that would technically leave me with 64 yrds, and that sounds like it could be two pattern repeats!
and no room for error... I hope we both are right...LOL
and you will if you make sure you are only doing the alloted amount of pattern repeats... and if you have done 14 pattern repeats of the body...then you should only be doing 86 pattern repeats of the border.
SHEEEWWW...thats enough math for one night....i got a headache now...LOL

Am I the only one that tends to knit faster when she thinks she is getting to the end of a ball, in hopes that the faster you knit, the less likely you are to get to the end of the ball....
Nope! I'm totally guilty of it, too
I'm still here, only pretty conked out on meds because I've come down with the flu I've been too weak to knit this whole weekend (doesn't that just sound wrong??), so my border deadline will have to be pushed back a couple of days. I have, however, completed 12 repeats and am attaching a picture in order to mollify Ms. Lissaplus2
The steam burn was totally worth it though...I made myself a single serving of broccoli. Yes...that doesn't sound like a big deal, but DH doesn't like it, so he made his own green beans and I made a single serving of broccoli (first in like 2 years) in a bowl with a little water, and a piece of cling wrap with holes in it to vent the steam. I was a little hasty at grabbing the plastic wrap off when it came out of the microwave. It is still a little red and tender, but it was nice to have broccoli again...
