I got the first pattern done!

Of course the real test will be the corners

Am I right in thinking that the last copy of the pattern we received is wrong about the side we start attaching to? Mine says the right side. I attached to the wrong side. Is that correct?

Glad everybody had confidence that I could do this. I had nightmares about the border! Thanks everybody

I'll try to get a photo tomorrow if you want one Melissa. It doesn't look like too much right now!

I have 9 patterns done on the border. Seems to me that I'm getting slower. BTW, the border is addictive

The only way I can knit faster is if one of you that are finished would volunteer to babysit so I can knit Any takers???

Has anyone heard from Freyja? Glad she is feeling better. And Becky, hope you are doing better too!

Okay, I'm going back to knitting now. Hugs everybody

Babysitting, probably not for me unless the kid is 6+! *smiles*

Going to start my curtains soon....and block the toes of my disgruntled frog...!

I really appreciate the offers, but since I'm in east Tennessee, I could be done before I could bring the grandson to either of you! And Crycket, he's only 3 1/2 so he wouldn't qualify

I did manage to get another pattern done this morning though. So I just have to get Wyatt something to occupy HIS time so I can knit And I'll have to turn the telephones off! Nothing quite like trying to concentrate and get something done and have the phone ring off the hook all day.

I'll give you an update and maybe a photo later today!

Yeah...something I just couldn't get into was the 1-5 set. Requires a little too much attention for me. It is a bone of contention with my mother who is chomping at the bit for Grandkids....but what can I say....I have to be true to myself...

How ironic is that...I am having trouble saying no to a friend about a wedding, but no problem telling my mom no to grandkids...*shakes her head*

I have to tell the truth. I never wanted grandchildren. My oldest daughter didn't want any until she married a man with a older children. The younger daughter is just now getting in the mood for children. I love the only grandchild like nothing in the world now that he's here. I wouldn't have been disappointed if both my children had opted to not have them though. I have kept Wyatt from the time he was 3 months old so I am lost without him here. And thank goodness he does "allow" me to knit! I just keep thinking he will be going to pre-school before long and then I'll get to knit ALL the time.

If you really don't want children, then don't have them. They are your responsibility, not Grandma's! She'll forgive you! And good luck with the wedding

LOL...thanks...

I know...when life throws stuff like that at you, you deal with it, and often times fall in love. I just don't want it to happen in the first place. And sometimes it feels selfish, but in the end, it is my life, and DH is fine with it...and that is the end of the discussion. My body, my life, my decision!
