Even though I'm not done yet, I agree that this pattern takes some experience with lace, cables and knitting on borders. The cables didn't bother me (except for the fact that I can't count!) because I have done regular cables for years. The border wasn't hard after I figured it out, but it will be heaps easier the next time I do one. And of course the only grafting I have done is the toes of socks. Love doing kitchener! I'll probably need some help when I get that far.
You are doin it....youve never done lace before. That means this pattern CAN be done by anyone.
Am i wrong here?

Mario--your two cents please?

EVERYONE: Should i put an experiance level on this pattern?

I would say no to putting an experiance level. Wouldn't want to discourage people.

Yes - there is a lot going on.. but not all at once. Would a reccomend it for someone who showed a decided lack of confidance? no way! But for a "strong" beginner - or someone chomping at the bit to learn?

Amen!

Aww, we're famous! Thanks for the encouraging words!

I'm with MMario about not putting an experience level on the pattern. I didn't mean to imply that only intermediate/advanced knitters should attempt it, but rather that the pattern is more suitable for that particular group's comfort level. I'm a firm believer that pretty much any pattern CAN be done by anyone. I'm sorry if it came out the wrong way.

Hi everybody. I really am still here. Internet has been off for a while so I just kept knitting. Here is a photo. I finished the 2nd corner and am now going down the 2nd long side. Hopefully I'll be done before the grandson comes back on Wed.!
