I shouldn't say anything cause I don't want to scare anyone about it, but I just couldn't get it working for me. I was in a nice quiet room, well lit etc....

I would follow it half way through and then there would be that one spot where I just couldn't see what I was doing.

I tried putting the stitches onto a needle, off a needle, back on a needle...there was always just one spot that was jerking with me. Either way...yes...I agree...patience is the key...and very contrasty yarn. I do believe mine was not contrasty enough...

I'm finishing up the last corner. I still need to go back and look at the website you gave to Crycket when she was working on hers. I don't know that grafting is going to get done tonight. I honestly don't have a clue where to start and how to do it. I have a headache from knitting all day. Would it help to put the stitches on another needle or should I just work with the waste yarn? I know how to do kitchener really well, but lace is all so new for me. I don't know how I'm suppose to "blend" it in. Okay, I'm being a pain in the butt. Sorry! I just have visions of never getting it completed. New stuff either clicks with me or doesn't and so far, this doesn't. I checked youtube and didn't find any videos. I'm so visual I wish I knew another knitter that could actually show me, but I don't. Hopefully, I won't be stuck tooooo long!

Did Freyja ever finish hers?

If you put it on another needle....you wont see the path the dark yarn is taking. Once your done, it will blend itself...dont worry about that right now. Just take your working yarn and start from the outside and let your tapestry needle do some walking. That website gives you some good info.

You are NOT being a pain in the butt....and you will get this done. You have too much drive for this to just sit unfinished. Look how far youve come already?

I'm definitely going to put in a lifeline before I start grafting! Thanks for all the help. I'm going to finish up the corner. It says you graft as you do row 12. So, am I working the required row 12 stitches with my tapesty needle? I'm determined to figure it out but I might be when I get done with it . I'll see how my head feels after I finish the corner but it might have to wait until the morning. I'll let you know!

I think I'll give my head a rest after I finish the corner. I still have 8 rows to do before the grafting. Then I'll sit and read that site and I'll start fresh in the morning... assuming I don't have nightmares about grafting . I don't have Wyatt until 12 tomorrow and hopefully I will have it done by then.... don't hold me to that though!
You go have a rest and I'll check in with you in the morning!
