knitting with a graph
I am knitting a baby sweater that uses a knitting graph There is a size for that and it states that there is an 8 stitch repeat but when I follow that then my stitches are out and there is also a section after that and states that this part is for all sizes for front edge Am I to use that part as well? This is a Patons Astra pattern and booklet 889 I know that it sounds confusing and wondering if I need to send a picture of the graph

Are there YOs in it? Often when people 'run out of sts' in a pattern that includes them, they're doing them wrong. A YO is just a wrap around the needle, not a wrap and k1. An 8 st repeat uses 8 sts. If that's not it, there may be a couple sts before and after th 8 sts that are not repeated.
