pattern advise
Hi all am a newbie to this fab site and just wondered if anyone has come across a pattern for a shrug but almost like it is just sleeves with a section across the back , all the shrug patterns i have seen have big dangly sleeves ,i would like to knit it in double knit too .
Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated .
BTW brilliant site have been reading the posts and have had the same problem as everyone else with stocking stitch but at least now i know i am not on my own lol
Thanks xxxxx

By double knit, do you mean the yarn weight or the technique?

There a lot's of patters for shrugs that are sleeves joined across the back. Try www.knittingpatterncentral.com and www.knittingdaily.com. You would start with a cuff, gradually increase the sleeve until it's the width you want at the upper back (about 14-16"), knit the back width then decrease matching the first sleeve and end with the cuffs.

Do you mean the ones that are knit like a rectangle and then the sides are sewn to create sleeves?

The How-To Forum is for questions about pattern technique or how-tos. I moved this to the Pattern Central forum since you're looking for a pattern.
