Alphabet Baby Blocks: To Felt or Not To Felt ...?
I'd like to knit a friend of mine a set of baby blocks with the letters of the alphabet on them. I have a pattern for the letters and everything, but am trying to decide whether or not the project would look good if I felted the pieces before assembling them. I like the idea of the fabric being felted, but I just don't want to lose too much definition when it comes to the letters ... obviously they should be clearly readable.

I've never felted before (which is why I'm kind of intrigued and would like to try it on this project), so any advice on whether this is an appropriate project to try it on would be appreciated.

You could always do a swatch and see how you like it.
