adorable baby hat

ok my wonderful knitting helpers...the little baby bee has officially arrived

and since we now know that she's a girl (sydney ann) ...I would like to make her a sweet little hat...and since I'll have more time for this one now I would like to find a completely adorable one...I started to search on ravelry last night and a little on bev's country cottage but I would like your guys opinions since you all do such wonderful work...

Ok so i found one i like but in reading the directions and looking at the pictures it doesnt match up to me
http://www.knittingpatterncentral.co.../baby_hats.php and its the paralello-hat if you read the directions it shows all knit stitches no purl but looking at it there has to be purl rows

I didn't download it, but if it's knit in the round their won't be as many purl stitches. The bumps that stick out around the brim are purled for sure though.

I know some cute ones, but don't remember if you knit in the round...?

I downloaded this pattern. She completed the hat then picked up stitches around the brim (on the wrong side) to make a longer brim...she knit three rounds and purled four rounds then bound off.

The hat can be made w/o the extra brim...it just doesn't go as low on the forehead.

You're right - there are no purl stitches in the main body. Since you are knitting in the round, each row/round is knit. At the end of the blue section/bottom you are seeing purl bumps because the edge is curling up, you are seeing the inside edge of the hat.
