Julie, she hasn't told me anything. I think she just knew she couldn't marry him. He was pressuring her to set a date. She wouldn't. He felt "strung along." She truly is DONE with him. Her brother even picked up all her stuff that was at his apartment so she wouldn't have to see him.

I haven't heard anything more since they went looking for other cancer... I guess maybe that means they didn't find any which would be a good thing?
Yes, that is exactly why he needs a new name... His former cagemate (the one who pulled out all of his feathers) is named 'Hotlips' and I'm sorry, I just can't do the M.A.S.H. metaphor.
Wow, your DD's school sounds like a total mess... although I have to admit I'm not surprised. Hopefully they'll get it fixed up ASAP.

I was so glad he was willing to do it!
Keep Emmelyn in your prayers. She's pretty stressed about school. Still no curriculum or lesson plans for Monday!

She's in our prayers, maybe she can make Monday a "Funday" and do 1/2 lesson plans and 1/2 games to get everyone aquainted and back into school without havinga lot of stress.

I second this motion. Who wants a full day of school on Monday anyway!?

So this is (me and) 'Klinger.'
He needs a new name.
So far I am considering:
James Bond (the character was named after an ornithologist)
Corporal
Daedelus (the Greek who made the wings to escape the Labyrinth... his son flew too close to the sun and died)
but none of them have really struck me as perfect the way Kitten and Artemis did. I'm looking for something kind of academic... a literary reference, a scientist, or a clever play on or reference to 'Klinger.' Any suggestions?
Oh, and as there are no adoption fees (and I got a free, if slightly dirty, transport cage), once I finish Teenie's quilt and the denim monstrosity I've been demolishing blue jeans for, I'm going to make a blanket to sell and donate the proceeds to the rescue. I designed a flying macaw quilt for it.

How about Maxwell or Max, that was Corporal Klinger's first name?

One of my best friends has a dog named Max... that could get confusing.
I just had someone suggest Tonsure, which is the practice of shaving the heads of religious persons. Tony, Tonny, or Tons for short. It may be the top of my list. I'll give it a day or two for consideration.
My family suggested Vulture, GMV (Green Micro-Vulture), Voldemort, Vulturemort, Icky, and Roadkill. *sigh*

I'm no good at naming pets, any pets I name either get taken to the pound, run away or get given away, been that way since I was a kid...thats why I let others name my pets, Rascal the cat was named by Dh & Pearl the mini schnauzer was named by Jacob (Ds).
