Julie, that's adorable!
I finished my brother's girlfriend's hat - will try to get a photo of her wearing it.
For anyone traveling this holiday: My best wishes and prayers for your safety.
I don't travel for Christmas (unless you count the mile or so to Grandma's house, and sometimes the thirty miles to a bigger, better movie theater), but I had one of my close friends over tonight, and he's flying to his parents' brand-new house on Christmas Eve. I'm sad that he's moving so far away, but I was thrilled to get to hang out with him.

You've done a beautiful job on these. They are called SOCKS and are worn on the feet, to keep them warm, or sometimes as decorations to look pretty!
I hope the little girl receiving them appreciates all the love and work that went into these SOCKS!!!

then they should be just perfect. My family likes to mock me because my socks are "little girl socks" - but when they stretch, they're just the right size.
I wish I'd knit some knee-high wool socks the past month or so. I thought my brother had my good pairs, but they've all gone missing. We're going skiing for three days and I need something to keep my feet warm, and that won't blister my legs.

Chris, the socks are beautiful.
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
We've had a bit of a miserable time cos its been snowing and in the UK snow stops everything. All the people we usually visit before Christmas have had to wait until this week instead. Its starting to thaw now so perhaps we can actually deliver some presents.
On the bright side I have now managed to knit most of a jumper that has been just lying there looking at me accusingly for months.

Well we had a great time skiing in Wisconsin the past couple of days. My brother's girlfriend came and we taught her to ski (she did really well) and yesterday the two of them and me decided to try snowboarding. I failed miserably and wound up walking down most of the hill (my brother decided we could skip the 'bunny hill' and go straight to the top of the mountain... bad choice) so I switched to skis again.
Today as we were packing to come home, though, we got a call from grandma that Grandpa has been doing worse; they called the priest and the family. :(
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!
