Help Reading This Pattern
I finished my first baby blanket last week! Yay! And I'm working through a dischcloth with a more complicated pattern that I will have done this week.

And next, I am moving on to a delightful headband. I may make five of them. However, I'm having a hard time understanding the instructions for row 2: They are:

Row 2: K3, *yo, K2tog *{4 times}, K last 2 stitches

If I'm reading this correctly (and I'm beginner, so thanks for the patience!), I should:

knit 3 stiches
yarn over, knit 2 stiches something something (k2tog??) --- do this four times
knit remaining 2 stitches

If anyone wants to see, the full pattern, it's here.

You're right. You knit the first 3 stitches of the row, then do a yarn over followed by a decrease (k2tog = knit 2 stitches together), repeat yo & k2tog 3 more times, then knit the last 2 stitches.

The yo coupled with the k2tog maintains the same number of stitches while creating a lacy effect. (The yo increases the number of stitches by 1 while the k2tog decreases the total number of stitches by 1.)
