One last question
Hopefully - this will be my last question of the day --- I am very appreciative of the comments and help!!!

when a pattern says to "sl2 with yarn in front" P1, k3--- what does that mean --- does it mean to sl2 knitwise keeping the yarn in front so that when I P1 the yard crosses the two stitches?

Many Thanks,

GCP

Usually it's assumed that you slip purl wise unless the pattern states otherwise. So based on what you've written you'd slip two purl wise with the yarn in front, purl 1, then put the yarn to the back and knit one.
