I've never made mittens, but I didn't have problems with Wool-Ease for the hat I made. It washed up well, too.

When asking questions ALWAYS post the name and a link for the pattern if you have it.

Kureyon is too scratchy to be worn next to the skin. AND, I bet you could get a FEW pairs of toddler mittens out of a skein of Woolease! If you want something even softer, try Plymouth Encore...worsted or Chunky. Its another wool/acryllic blend....I think its better quality but about the same price.

I love Kureyon as much as the next gal, but for anything that is going to either a) get hard and repeated use, or b) be worn by someone under age 12, I tend to stick with an inexpensive blend. So mark me down as another vote for WoolEase toddler mittens!

Hmmmmmm.... someone mentioned an 'idiot string' for socks????? Still trying to imagine that!!!!! ROTFL!!!!! samm who doesn't usually have trouble with losing socks.... do you!?
