Joining cotton yarns
hello everyone

I an knitting sweater with a cotton yarn and not sure how to join two yarns (other than tieing a knot!). Can someone please help me? the exact fabric content is: 100% Combed Mercerized Double Gassed Cotton

Here's what I do (after trying quite a few other methods and finding them too bulky):

Knit one stitch with the new skein. Knit one stitch with the old skein. Tie the ends together loosely in back. Then start knitting with the new skein. Later untie the ends and weave them in.
