Douceur et Soie - a Beautiful yarn!!
I just want to share the joy...

I could not find any Rowan Kidsilk Haze yarn anywhere for my Airy Scarf project (Knitted Gifts book), so I bough another yarn recommended at my LYS... It's a yarn from Knit one Crochet two called Douceur et Soie (softness and silk)... What a beautiful yarn!

It knits beautifully on bamboo (I usually like metal needles) and it feels like a dream between your fingers. So much that I am looking for more patterns for this yarn - suggestions welcome!

Funny enough, my husband (!) asked me for a robe made of that yarn... It tried to explain to him how much that would cost but he didn't seem to care. "It would be a great ghostly robe!" he said. Since I have yet to make my first sweater, I doubt he will get the robe. Maybe I should make him some underwear in the meantime LOL!!!

BTW, I am ordering some Rowan Kidsilk Night to make more airy scarves, I think they really make a beautiful and feminine gift. Since I can make 2 scarves per ball, it makes it very affordable

It is really easy to make, and the result is just beautiful. So lucky of you to find that yarn for so cheap! I am jealous!

Here is a link where you can see pictures of the scarf when it was in progress, I will add a "finished" one after I block it this weekend, against a dark background.
