Rainbow Colored Denises! Available only here at KnittingHelp! I colored my first set for myself, and I enjoy them so much that I have colored more and have been offering them for sale. Expect some variation and marbling of the color on the needle surface. The color does not change the surface-feel of the needles.

Own a one-of-a-kind piece of knitting art!

For thrift, versatility, and flexible-cable comfort, the Denise set can't be beat.

What is an interchangeable kit?

It is a set of needles with a range of needle sizes and lengths.A kit contains "needle tips" in various sizes.A pair of tips is attached to either end of a cable, to create the most versatile type of needle there is: a "circular" knitting needle. You can use the needle for circular knitting, regular flat knitting, and even for small-diameter circular knitting, although you may prefer to purchase double pointed needles (DPN's) for that.

Kits like this are a money saver from buying individual needle sizes. There are 10 tip sizes, but since you need different length cable needles for various circular projects, this kit actually replaces more than 40 different circular needle sizes...for a fraction of the cost. But above all, a kit is a convenient, portable way to always have the needle size you need on hand!Highly recommended, I do most of my knitting on my set.(Okay, sets...I own more than one!)

The shortest cable length (17" from needle tip to tip) is fluid and a pleasure to knit with, which is generally unheard of in needle sets. The shortest lengths of other sets start at 20", and yet still tend to be stiffer and harder on the hands than the Denise set.Since the 17" length is such a convenient size to use (great for hats!), it makes the Denise set really stand out in versatility and knitting comfort.

In terms of smoothness when knitting, they are not as smooth as metal needles, which is the main reason one might consider a metal-tipped set. On the other hand, they're still quite smooth (in fact smoother than bamboo needles), and they won't have the ice-cold feel of metal when the weather is cool.

Features:

  • 10 pairs of needle tips: US sizes 5 through 15(3.75-10mm)

  • Numerous cable needle lengths, from 17"-58".

  • Flexible, comfortable cables!

  • Click-on needle tips

  • The case keeps your needles and cables well organized.

  • Needle tips are imprinted with their size

  • The Denise set is airplane safe and travel-approved!

The fine print

Needle color-fastness is very good, but not perfect, and may weaken under conditions of extreme heat, humidity and/or friction. I've never had a problem with them myself, and I knit without worry, but I once got a report about this issue from a tight knitter knitting in tropical conditions, so I pass it on as a warning. In the unlikely event that color transfers to your yarn, tests have shown that the pigment washes out with ease (a dye expert has informed me that fixatives in the dye are not transferred), however I cannot guarantee this.
