I usually frog the work first and then put the needle in the exposed stitches, it’s faster. But this way is handy if the stitches are unwieldy. In the video I accidentally refer to the circular needle I am using as a cable needle. For this tip, you want to use either a small circular needle or a double pointed needle (DPN) and not a straight needle since you may need to slip the work from one side of the other depending upon which side your working yarn ends up.
