Free Knitting Patterns: Adult Gloves & Mittens
Mittens are a perfect project for knitters who have some basic knitting and pattern following skills and ready for a little more challenge. Knitting gloves can be bit more complex on account of the many fingers and the need to do small diameter knitting using double pointed knitting needles, but if you are up for the challenge, knitting a pair of gloves is extremely rewarding. If you are looking for a simpler style of glove, be sure to check out the free patterns under fingerless gloves.

Tweedy Mittens
Beginner. A great pair of classic mittens with a trendy stripe pattern, knit with worsted wool and a wool silk blend.

Two Color Bulky Mittens
Intermediate/Advanced.
Gauge: 7.0 stitches per inch or 28.0 stitches per 4 inches.

Opera Glove Pattern
Intermediate. For either day or eveningwear, these opera length gloves make a great accessory for the seasons fall/winter fashions.
Gauge: 6.0 stitches per inch or 24.0 stitches per 4 inches.

Lopi Mittens
Intermediate. K2 P2 ribbing would bring the cuff in a bit more than this k1 p1 ribbing. So would using needles 2 sizes smaller than gauge, (which is always good for ribbing).
