Knitting for children can be very rewarding. Knitting a children's sweater gives you an opportunity to practice all the same skills required to make a full size adult sweater, without the substantial investment in time or yarn. Ear Hat
Beginner. This is a simple pattern. It is knit straight as a rectangle, folded and sewn up the sides.
Gauge: 5.0 stitches per inch or 20.0 stitches per 4 inches.
Kids' Dice Check Balaclava
Intermediate. Here is a three-color kids' balaclava, worked without seams (but with picked up stitches).
